19th Annual Indiana Motorcycle Exposition

Opening on Thursday, February 25, 2010 the 19th Annual Indiana Motorcycle Exposition is set to overlap and coincide with the last weekend of the Boat, Sport and Travel Show, also at the Indiana State Fairgrounds in Indianapolis. This large-scale motorcycle display will span across the weekend, from Thursday through Sunday, and will be attended by thousands of enthusiasts from Indy and other cities in Indiana and beyond.

With your entrance, you get the Lucas Oil Bikers Showcase, Tiny Tots Test Track, Hardee’s Thickburger Fashion Stage, and the off-the-chart exciting Motorcycle Rodeo. The exposition ticket also gets you into the big Indianapolis Boat, Sport & Travel Show, also at the Indiana State Fairgrounds.

Highlights and activities during this popular Indianapolis event include:

ABATE Motorcycle Classes - You can pick up information on things like how to deal with riding hazards, how to get the correct riding gear, how to deal with obstacles and weather problems, and how to get a discount on your insurance premium at these professional classes for beginner to advanced riders. More details here.

Get Tested for your Motorcycle License – Concurrent with the exposition, ABATE will conduct skills test for those who already have their permit and have been putting off “getting legal” with the riding test. You can take the test indoors right there at the Fairgrounds during the Indiana Motorcycle Exposition and ABATE will even have motorcycles available. For more information on this opportunity, check out ABATE online.

Bikers Showcase Bike Contest - One of the biggest attractions to the Annual Indiana Motorcycle Exposition is the Bikers Showcase Bike Contest put on by Lucas Oil. Competitors come from all over the United States to accept the vote of the public for the People’s Choice Award. Want to compete? You can register online here.

Fashion Showcase by Hardee’s Thickburger - Get revved up watching the runway models show off the hottest new bikers fashions.

Vintage Motorcycle Display - Showing vintage models from the early 1900′s, from Norton to Bultaco, and featuring racing bikes such as the famous 1937 Rudge Ulster, this awe-inspiring collection also includes classics by Honda, Bridgestone, Kawasaki and Harley-Davidson.

Tiny Tots Test Track – If your kid is a miniature biker in the making, it’s probably time to start training him (or her) to ride safely. The Tiny Tots Test Track gives kids, as well as first-timers, a chance to get out there on a motorcycle in safety. Check out ABATE’s “Children’s Motorcycle Adventure” too, which offers hands-on related activities for kids.
