This Weekend at the Indiana State Fairgrounds (2/25/10 to 2/28/10)

As February winds down, things at the Indiana State Fairgrounds heat up. This weekend at the Indiana State Fairgrounds, the Annual Indiana Motorcycle Expo, a Midwest Reptile Show and the Annual Indianapolis Boat, Sport and Travel Show continues. These Indianapolis events will wow the whole family, with entertainment for all. Don’t miss another exciting weekend at the Indiana State Fairgrounds.

19th Annual Indiana Motorcycle Exposition

The 19th Annual Indiana Motorcycle Expo is hog heaven for motorcycle enthusiasts. Crowds are expected to flock to the Indiana State Fairgrounds from all over for this wild Indianapolis convention. Plus, your ticket to the 19th Annual Indiana Motorcycle Expo also allows you access to the Annual Indianapolis Boat, Sport and Travel Show happening for the second weekend in a row at the State Fairgrounds.

The 19th Annual Indiana Motorcycle Expo offers a lot of excitement jam packed into four short days. If you are just starting out in the world of motorcycles, check out the ABATE Motorcycle Classes. These seminars offer all the info beginners (and pros) need to ride the roads straddling a fast piece of metal. Find out from the experts at ABATE about hazards, riding gear, obstacles, weather and insurance. Got a permit and looking to go legal? ABATE is also offering an indoor skills test for new riders trying to get their license.

At the Bikers Showcase Bike Contest, riders from across the United States put their hogs to the will of the people to settle once and for all who has the prettiest (and fastest) pig. Then head over to the Fashion Showcase by Hardee’s Thickburger where runway models sport the latest biker fashions.

Motorcycle lovers will salivate over the Vintage Motorcycle Display. This collection of bikes has bikes from as early as the 1900’s. Marvel at the history of motorcycles in America, as you see the tangible changes from year to year in this beautiful display. Don’t forget to bring your little motorcycle lovers too! The Tiny Tots Test Track is specially designed for Indianapolis kids to cut their teeth on biking safely. Also for kids: ABATE’s “Children’s Motorcycle Adventure.” See Cindy Paul’s article on the 19th Annual Indiana Motorcycle Exposition for more details.

This Annual Indiana Motorcycle Exposition takes over the Toyota Exposition Hall Thursday, February 25, 2010 through Sunday, February 28, 2010. Open Thursday from 3:00 pm to 9:00 pm, Friday from 1:00 pm to 9:00 pm, Saturday from 10:00 am to 9:00 pm and Sunday from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm. Tickets for adults are $12.00 at the door, for seniors are $11.00 and for kids ages six to twelve $8.00. Children five and under are admitted free, and two day passes are available for $20.00. For additional information visit the 19th Annual Indiana Motorcycle Exposition website.

Ford 56th Annual Indianapolis Boat, Sport and Travel Show

In case you missed it last weekend at the Indiana State Fairgrounds, you still have one more chance to catch the 56th Annual Indianapolis Boat, Sport and Travel Show. Hundreds of experts are currently on hand eagerly awaiting you to show up with questions. Plus, the Indianapolis Boat, Sport and Travel Show offers one of the largest selection of services and products for outdoor enthusiasts including fishing, hunting, tourism, tents, RVs, cruisers and canoes. With tons of great activities, seminars and shows this Indianapolis event is a must see.

Don’t miss Dock Dogs, a dog versus dog competition to see whose pooch can jump and dive the best. If that’s not enough animal action for you, see Twiggy the Water Skiing Squirrel for one more weekend only. This talented rodent will defy your imagination with her unbelievable water skiing talents.

Indy-Yaks offers an invitation to learn about all things kayak fishing. This serene hobby offers a slice of solitude in the hustle and bustle of today’s world. Plus more than 200 other exhibitors waiting to share their expertise with you.

While you roam around the 56th Annual Indianapolis Boat, Sport and Travel Show, don’t forget to check out the Antique Outboard Boat Motors Display, which has been wowing Indianapolis people all week. Then try your hand at the Peak Adventure Rock Wall, a twenty four foot custom made climbing wall that test both strength and tenacity.

There are tons of fun activities at the Indianapolis Boat, Sport and Travel Show, but only for one more weekend. Check out Tackle Town USA, Laser Shotgun 3D and the Hawg Trough, a 5,000 gallon aquarium specially designed for fishing demonstrations and seminars.

The Indianapolis Boat, Sport and Travel Show is currently happening in the Pepsi Coliseum South, the Toyota Blue Ribbon West and Champion Pavilions through Sunday February 28, 2010. Ticket prices are the same for the Indiana Motorcycle Expo, and gain admission to both. Both events open and close at the same time each day. For more details visit the Indianapolis Boat, Sport and Travel Show’s official website.
