The head chef of the Nourish Cafe attempts to support local Indianapolis businesses and growers, by offering a variety of food straight from Indianapolis people. The menu changes each day, but has consistent organization. Whet your appetite with hand-crafted soups and salads, artisan sandwiches, pasta dishes, snack items, to-go items and options for both vegetarians and children. In addition, Nourish Cafe offers a wide selection of gourmet coffees, teas and other refreshing drinks.
The local and seasonal fare at the Nourish Cafe is both environmentally and morally friendly. It includes seasonal organic produce, grass fed beef, free range chicken, sustainable products and shade grown coffee. With price points between $1.00 and $11.00, its not easy to find such high quality food at such great prices in any other Indianapolis restaurant.
Menu offerings change but past patron favorites include vegetarian/ vegan curried butternut squash soup. They have also offered hot ham and smoked gouda sandwiches with grained Indiana honey mustard, caramelized onions and apples or even Spinach salad with grilled flank steak, Indiana tomatoes, Garwood Farm apples, toasted pumpkin seeds and caramelized squash vinaigrette. Staff favorites include gourmet selections like Mushroom ravioli with sweet red peppers and an array of other fresh veggies or roasted vegetable pizza complete with pumpkin hummus “sauce.”
The atmosphere at Nourish Cafe is always casual, but with a contemporary elegance. Patrons can enjoy lounge furnishing in a welcoming environment with a great view of the Sutphin Fountain on the front lawn of the IMA. Nourish Cafe’s Happy Hour on Thursdays and Fridays have become famous throughout the Circle City. During these after work hours evenings (5 to 9), patrons can enjoy a selection of cocktails, wine and micro brew beers that rival any Indianapolis bar.
The Nourish Cafe hosts a series of Indianapolis events called the Chef’s Table Series. In this delectable monthly event, patrons can enjoy a four course meal specially prepared by the head chef.
