The Brownsburg real estate market saw a slight increase in the number of homes sold, going from 21 last month to 25 in February, 2010. This is down 6 units from February’s 2009 total of 31 homes sold. The total number of pending transactions also dropped a bit from 32 in January to 30 in February. There were 40 pending sales this same time last year. The total number of Brownsburg homes for sale jumped from 235 in January to 255 in February. This is down somewhat from the 262 homes that were for sale a year ago.
While homes spent an average 104 days on the market – virtually unchanged from January’s total of 103 days – it is up considerably from this same time last year of 80 days. The good news for sellers was that the average total price paid by buyers jumped from $167,000 in January to $185,000 in February of 2010. This is also up from last year’s February total of $174,000. The average cost per square foot paid by buyers, while down from January’s total of 78, was still up from the average of $63 cost per square foot in February of 2009.
Looking at the real estate market in Brownsburg, Indiana, over all, there’s not a huge different in the figures compared to this same time last year.
