Dance Kaleidoscope Collides with Kibbutz Contemporary Dance for Conversation

Dance Kaleidoscope’s Artistic Director David Hochoy hosts Conversations with David this Wednesday, March 17 at the Indiana Repertory Theatre. Joining him on stage will be Eytan Pe’er and other members of Kibbutz Contemporary Dance Company, an Israel based performance group. This Indianapolis event is FREE to all Indianapolis people, but an RSVP is required.

Kibbutz Contemporary Dance Company (KCDC) garnered international acclaim through the work of Artistic Director Rami Be’er. His creations have become a trademark of the company, not only in Israel, but throughout the entire world. Kibbutz Contemporary Dance Company originally began as an off shoot of the Regional Western Galilee Dance Group, started by Yehudit Arnon in 1996. With each performance since its original inception, Kibbutz Contemporary Dance Company has grown to become one of Israel’s most prominent dance company.

In addition to world renowned performance concepts, Kibbutz Contemporary Dance Company sponsors education programs to introduce children to the magic of modern dance. These special programs target schools across the region, bring Be’er’s children works to his intended audience. Performed by KCDC-2, these works are in high demand at many education institutions.

David Hochoy, of Dance Kaleidoscope, will have a chance to go inside the creative minds of this celebrated international dance troupe during Conversations with David. Eytan Pe’er is currently the Associate General Manager of International Marketing for Kibbutz Contemporary Dance Company. He has worked with Kibbutz in a number of positions including youth director, cultural director and even human resources manager. He also has a BA in theatrical directing from the Kibbutz Seminar.

In the early 90s, he moved to Australia to act as emissary for the Kibbutz Movement. For fifteen years he taught in South Australia. Now he lives in New York city with his family, where he acts as Director of Program Management for the Jewish Agency in North America.

Don’t miss Conversations with David this Wednesday, March 17 at Indiana Repertory Theatre in Indianapolis downtown. This Indianapolis event gets underway at 6:00 pm and is expected to go no longer than 7:30 pm.
