American storyteller and comedian, Ron Shock, takes the stage at Crackers Comedy Club in Indianapolis downtown March 17 to 20. With a froggy voice and a well paced story, Shock draws audiences into the fantastical web of his life. Tickets to see Ron Shock range from $10.00 to $20.00, and show times are as early as 8:00 pm to as late as 10:30 pm. Head to this downtown Indianapolis comedy club all week for a great storytelling experience.
Ron Shock’s comedy stems, in his words, “from a life fully lived.” While he was studying for the Priesthood, he became tangled up with a bad crowd. He landed in Louisiana’s Parish Prison for one year, after he was caught attempting to steal a car. His time on the Chain Gang in the deep South during the 1950s served him well, arming him with a plethora of stories that he still trades on today. Later his line of work found him as an unsuccessful jewel thief, which lead to an invitation to a Maximum Security Penitentiary.
Then Shock’s life took an extremely interesting turn. He landed a job as the Vice President of the Fortune 500 Company. In addition, he invented three patents in Electronics. Then as he career hit its crest, Shock quit the corporate world to follow his passion for storytelling and stand up. It seems no matter where Ron Shock finds himself he excels, whether in prison or the business world. (but, really, who can tell the difference?)
