Favorite downtown Indianapolis comedy club, Crackers Comedy, welcomes a host amusing entertainers, none of which measure up to the vertically challenged Rebecca Corry. This first lady of comedy offers a spastic stand up routine with hysterical physicality that gets audiences laughing from the moment she walks on stage. Her energetic delivery makes her a whimsical sprite that enthralls immediately. Corry claims her career began, “when I came out of my mother’s womb thinking. . . what is this? Some kind of joke?” Ever since then she has brought comedy to the world around her.
Rebecca Corry studied acting, writing and improvisation in Chicago at The Second City, Annoyance and Center Theatres. For eleven months she played the pregnant maid of honor in the Chicago production of Tony and Tina’s Wedding. Upon the shows closing, she packed up and headed west to Los Angeles. She hit the ground running in California, immediately landing a one woman show at the HBO workspace called Have You Ever Been Called a Dwarf? This led to a pilot for the Oxygen Network and an invitation to perform as a “New Face” at the Montreal Comedy Festival.

If you recognize this fiery female, its probably from one of her many film and television appearances. She played the memorable role of Paul Giamatti’s receptionist, Astrid Baker, in the feature film BIG FAT LIAR. In addition she has had guest spots on CBS’s “Yes Dear,” “The King of Queens,” “The Bernie Mac Show,” “The Wayne Brady Show,” NBC’s “Late Friday,” “Last Comic Standing,” “Comics Unleashed,” E’s “101 Series and Comedy Central’s “Premium Blend.” Corry is no stranger to the national comedy circuit, having performed across the United States at The Improv, The Ice House, The Comedy Store and The Laugh Factory.
