Plump’s Last Shot Restaurant and Bar in Indianapolis, Indiana:
Restaurant Reviews & Restaurant Comments

Bring your dog
Everyone is rating it as a bar, when the true heart of Plump’s is it’s summer weekend lunch patio, filled with dogs and water bowls and people drinking beer, not worrying about their best friend sitting at home in the AC next to his chew toy. Plump’s also has one of the biggest and best breaded tenderloins in the city…

Super strong drinks
Best bar in the Broad Ripple area. Age doesn’t matter, the drinks are super strong (ask for a double) for the price, the atmosphere/staff/patrons are completely chill. Depending on what you order, the food can range from dead average to fantastic (try the tenderloin)…

Not your typical bar
This old house-turned bar is floor-to-ceiling memorabilia from Hoosiers–the movie based on Bobby Plump’s story. It’s not your typical bar—and by my standards, that’s a good thing. Plump’s wraparound deck provides a unique outdoor seating area, complete with comfy chairs and umbrellas to shade the fair-skinned drunkies (i.e. me) from the sun…

Busy summer patio
Plump’s is one of the busiest bars in Broad Ripple during the summer months because of its outdoor patio. With dogs allowed on the deck, great drinks and a menu of bar food and sandwiches, Broad Ripplers flock to Plump’s to sit on the deck and drink beer in the sun, especially the first few times the weather warms up in the spring…

Just bar food
Well….yeah, there’s memorabilia, and indeed, the story is true. Sure, there’s a deck, and that’s always a plus. But …the food is average at best. C’mon, it’s friggin’ bar food! Now, that’s fine if that’s all you’re looking for, but let’s not get carried away. It’s a great place to meet someone who’s been working outside all day for a beer…

Escape the Yuppies
Great place; good times. This bar is the epitome of Broad Ripple–a great escape from the yuppies!

They have doggy cheeseburgers
Nice shaded deck area with plenty of room in between tables. Waitress was very nice and brought out a water bowl for our rottie Godzilla. Food was good, huge Tenderloin sandwiches, large portions at reasonable prices. Godzilla had a doggy cheeseburger…

We’ll be back!
We took our shy dog with us and he really enjoyed the fresh air and watching the people and dogs around us. We hooked his leash to the deck so we could enjoy our lunch on a gorgeous day. The food was good (not great) but it is worth it as we get our new dog more socialized. We will definitely be back!
