Billed around Indianapolis as “Indy‘s Biggest After-Race Party,” Union Station’s Cadillac Ranch Bar and Restaurant in Indianapolis’ downtown is vying for the title of party headquarters for racing fans. This happy, urban-cowboy-esque Indianapolis bar and restaurant offers a spiffy new place to let it all hang out, eat, drink and mingle. Having just opened last December, the downtown Indianapolis bar is still getting off the ground, but they are nevertheless attracting a lot of attention.
This weekend’s party package at Cadillac Ranch is a good example of events they put together. Between 4:00 pm and 8:00 pm, they have No-Cover Thursdays and Fridays with tons of all-night specials such as $1 domestic drafts and half-priced appetizers and sandwiches. They’re extending their hours until 3:00 a.m. too, for those who take a while to come down from their racing highs after the once a year, world-famous Indianapolis 500-mile race.
The colorful, pleasantly lighted ambiance is full of murals and Western-style decor. It’s roomy enough for parties and dancing, and they are well set up for special events and private gatherings such as Bachelorette parties. Customers can catch some great Indianapolis sports on one of 30 plasma televisions or two ten-foot large screen TVs, judiciously placed for that purpose.Word is that they also have the baddest mechanical bull in Indianapolis, or anywhere in Central Indiana, for that matter.

The All-American Bar and Grill at Cadillac Ranch, fiery red, hot and filled with energy, has all your favorites, drafts to steaks and barbecue. Appetizers feature popular items such as Texas Wings, Kettle Chips with garlic cream sauce and blue cheese crumbles, Pepperoni Grilled Flatbread Pizza and Chicken Tenders on fries with the house ranch dip.
There’s a hefty list of hefty sandwiches and entrees, such as the Black and Blue Burger, the Philly Cheesesteak Sandwich, the Pork Tenderloin, Fish and Kettle Chips, a Chicken Diablo pasta, the rack of Jack Daniels BBQ Ribs and the ten-ounce Sirloin dinner.
Cadillac Ranch restaurant and bar is speedily becoming well-known not only as a fun Indianapolis nightlife venue, but also for their buffets, with appetizers, sandwiches and entrees. CR’s specialty cocktails are also rumored to be pretty spectacular; try their Sophisticated Seduction Absolut Citron blend, the DeVille Mojito, Melon Collins or the trendy Rock Candy.
The historic Union Station facility in downtown Indianapolis, just a few blocks south of the famous Monument Circle, is also home to the world-class Indianapolis hotel, the Crowne Plaza.
