Indianapolis Attractions Offer FREE Fourth of July Fun

As Fourth of July weekend draws nearer and near, Indianapolis attractions prepare fun Indianapolis events to help Indianapolis people celebrate. Indianapolis downtown will be transformed on Sunday, July 4 for a celebration like no other with free admission to the Eiteljorg Museum of American Indian and Western Art, the Indiana State Museum’s FREE Canal Family Fest, the Indiana Historical Society’s FREE Concert on the Canal and of course Freedom Blast, a fabulous fireworks display sponsored by Regions Bank. Eiteljorg Museum of American Indians and Western Art Open Free

The Eiteljorg Museum opens its doors to Indianapolis people for FREE on the Fourth of July. Starting at 10:00 am and until 5:00 pm, the Indianapolis community will have a chance to celebrate original American and the art they created at the Eitelorg Museum of American Indians and Western Art. Then at 4:30 head to the Indianapolis Canal Walk behind the Eiteljorg to enjoy a family friendly games and crafts, music, artist demonstrations and more on the DeHaan Family Terrace. Plus the Eiteljorg offers a yummy BBQ buffet in their Sky City Cafe. With a perfect view of the fireworks from the terrace, the Eiteljorg is the place to be this Fourth of July.

Indiana State Museum’s Canal Family Fest

The Indiana State Museum invites Hoosiers to celebrate their patriotism this July Fourth with a fun Indianapolis festival on the Indianapolis Canal Walk. Visitors can partake of family oriented activities, crafts and games as they wait for the setting sun to signal the annual Indianapolis downtown fireworks display. With a perfect view from the Canal Cafe terrace, there is no reason not to head to this Indianapolis attraction for some free Fourth fun.

Enjoy live music as you brush up on your hula hoop skills. And enjoy educational activities, games and special participation from the Indianapolis Admirals Model Ship and Boat Club. Master remote controlled ship and submarine captains will navigate the Great Canal for interested eyes.

Regions Bank’s Freedom Blast

Each year Indianapolis downtown is host to a spectacular fireworks display honoring the Fourth of July. Sponsored by Regions Bank, this year is no exception. Enjoy a fantastic fireworks show set to being at 9:47 pm. Shooting from the top of the Region’s Bank Tower in Indianapolis downtown, all of the Circle City will marvel at a wonderful display of bright lights and colors.
