If you have been watching NBC’s newest season of “Last Comic Standing,” you’ll definitely recognize this hilarious comedian, who reached the semi finals competition in Los Angeles, California. This up and coming comedian just filmed his first television special for Comedy Central’s “Comedy Central Presents: Shane Mauss,” which premiered in March of 2010. The champion of cable comedy also released his first comedy album in tandem with the half hour special called “Jokes to Make My Parents Proud.” Fueled by the positive press from both of these big breaks, Mauss will perform on “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” on July 27th, hoping to solidify his fan base during the hot Summer months. You can see him live at Crackers Comedy Club before he blows up, gaining the right to say, “I liked him first!”
Originally from La Crosse, Wisconsin, Shane Mauss has a certain indescribably Midwestern charm. In 2004, at the tender age of 23, Shane moved to Boston to pursue his childhood dream of making people laugh. By the time he was 26, he had already caught his big break winning the award for Best Stand Up Comic at HBO’s US Comedy Arts Festival in 2007. In addition to his television appearances listed above, Shane Mauss has been seen on NBC’s “Late Night with Conan O’Brien,” Comedy Central’s “Live at Gotham,” Showtime’s “Comics Without Borders,” BBC’s “The Word Stands Up” and, what he describes as “easily his strangest television appearance, Playboy TV’s “Night Calls.”
