Thursdays in July and August of 2010 are full of entertainment at the Indianapolis Zoo. Relax and unwind with a cool summer Indianapolis music event featuring jazzy music and with exotic animals as scenery. Animals and All That Jazz at the Indianapolis Zoo starts July 15, 2010 and happens every Thursday in Indianapolis downtown until August 19, 2010. Admission to this Indianapolis event is included with regular admission to the Indianapolis Zoo. The fun starts at 5:30 pm each week, so don’t miss your chance to enjoy a summer of fun, jazz and animals at this Indianapolis attraction.
Unwind during the laid back days of summer at the Indianapolis Zoo as they present weekly Jazz concerts through July and August of 2010. Various performers will riff on Jazz tunes each week, while guest enjoy all that the Indianapolis Zoo has to offer. With Zoo animals out and about in their exhibits until 7:00 pm, these cool creatures will relax at the hip sounds of music. Plus rides and Splash Park will be kept open until 7:00 pm as well. July 15 – Harvey and the Bluetones
Groove all night long with this bluesy Indianapolis band as they play everything from Memphis and Mississippi Blues to smooth R&B. Members of the Indianapolis Zoo will receive free Kombo Roller Coaster rides from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm.
July 22 – Sizzlin’ Gregg Bacon
No relation to Kevin Bacon, this hot Indianapolis musician is welcomed back to the Indianapolis Zoo this Summer with open arms. His smooth saxophone will illuminate exquisite jazz and pop songs. Zoo members receive free train rides from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm.
July 29 – Goldie and Exquisitely Yours
Goldie’s voice is sure to captivate the hearts of all the lovers in the audience. With an incredible vocal rage and backed by a premiere band, she is a must see performer. Pick up her recently released debut album. Zoo members receive free carousel rides from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm.
August 5 – Cool Chillies!
Spice up your night with music from this quirky pop Latin band. An eleven piece band will have you up on your feet dancing the night away. Zoo members receive free Kombo Roller Coaster rides from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm.
August 12 – Heather and Blair
This vocal duet offers a charming performance. Blending their sounds, they sing standards and pop favorites as a duo. Indianapolis Zoo members receive free train rides from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm.
August 19 – The Michael Houston Group
A five piece band creates a cool atmosphere at the Indianapolis Zoo’s final night of Animals and All That Jazz. Dance away to the sounds of this smoother music all night, enjoying contemporary and smooth jazz. Indianapolis Zoo members receive free carousel rides from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm.
