Indianapolis arts are an important part of making a rich Indianapolis culture. FREE Indianapolis events for families go a long way to involving Indianapolis people with arts and culture. July 23 and 24, 2010, Dance Kaleidoscope performs a free interactive program at White River State Park for Indianapolis kids and their families. Friday and Saturday this Indianapolis education event proves that everyone can dance! The fun starts at 6:00 pm at the Celebration Amphitheater at the White River State Park in Indianapolis downtown. Take advantage of this fun and FREE Indianapolis event, as you dance the evening away.
Dance Kaleidoscope’s interactive and educational performance this weekend at White River State Park defines dance as shapes moving through space to a beat. This Indianapolis dance school and company will present a collection of diverse, athletic and exciting dances, perfect for the whole family to enjoy. They plan to perform three pieces, called Frere Jacques, Food of Love and The Dance Show.
The group is familiar with performing the last piece to Indianapolis school groups throughout the year. It teaches children the elements of dance. Afterward, the audience is invited to participate in the interactive event called “Every Day We Write a Dance.” This exercise is intended to motivate creative imaginations to make their own dance to share.
Guests are invited to bring their blankets and picnic baskets to enjoy the entertainment. Food and beverages will also be available for purchase. All summer long, White River State Park will play host to FREE family entertainment in the outdoor Celebration Amphitheater. The Family Art Series is made possible by the Allen Whitehill Clowes Charitable Foundation and the Lilly Endowment Fund, bringing Indianapolis culture to the people.
