Stonycreek Farm’s 38th Annual Pumpkin Harvest Festival has become a family tradition across the generations for many Noblesville and greater Indianapolis Hoosiers, with no end in sight. Stony Creek itself bubbles along through this property in Central Indiana, lending its name and personality to the friendly place. Visitors get to wander some 50 acres of richly wooded farmland, enjoying lots of fun activities created in celebration of the harvest season and the great American pumpkin.

The 38th Annual Pumpkin Harvest Festival will come to an end at 5:00 p.m. on Sunday, October 31, 2010, so this is your last chance to plan on packing up the clan and getting out in the glory. Activities include such favorites as a hayride out to the Pumpkin Patch for only a buck, Pedal Cars, Giant Chess, the Jumping Pillow, a Duck Race, the Stonycreek Cob Cannon, the High Striker and the Sling Shot.

Two inflatables will wear out your insatiable tots, the Kiddiepillar and the Stonycreek Haunted House. Don’t miss the Straw Maze and especially the famous Sonycreek Pumpkin Train, pictured above. It’s a favorite for Noblesville children of all ages. You’ll all love the Stonycreek farm animals too, and you can, of course, pick your own pumpkins to take home.

You can book a Hayride Party or a group picnic at Stonycreek farm for that special occasion. They’ll open up a private bonfire site for you and your group, and even provide the firewood. They pick you all up in the farm’s hay wagon and travel to your site through the scenic wooded acres. Hayride Parties are scheduled from 6:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m., so if you miss Halloween at Stonycreek, you can still enjoy a crisp Fall evening there.

You’ll be surprised at all the things to do in Noblesville‘s Stonycreek Farm. There’s a nice gift shop and a huge nursery and landscaping section that offers shrubs, flowers and evergreen trees, flowering trees and shade trees at down-on-the-farm prices. The experts at Stonycreek Farm can also give you consultations on  design and installation, along with ideas on subjects such as fencing, ponds, stone work, pathways and retaining walls.

Over the holidays, between November 21 and December 21, you can relive the Stonycreek Farm magic for a Country Christmas. Cut the one Christmas tree that calls out to you, choose from a large variety of fresh garlands and wreaths and sip some holiday hot cider. You may be creating a family tradition that will last for generations to come.
