The musical evening features love songs performed by Everett Green and a smashing dinner and dessert buffet. At the Indiana History Center on February 10, 2011, 7:00 – 10:00 pm. $60 or $50 for members.|
|Big Band Dance & Concert – Romance and nostalgia make a heady combination at the Athenaeum Building when the Indianapolis Jazz Orchestra presents this Valentine’s Day event with some of the best in Indianapolis music. $20 in advance or $25 at the door.|
|Carriage rides downtown – If you’ve never done it, this could be the time. There are a number of companies that provide this over-the-top romantic experience: Blue Ribbon Carriages, Yellow Rose Carriage and Circle City Carriage Rides. Enjoy the vibrant, crisp energy of downtown Indianapolis and the spectacular Indianapolis skyline.|
|Chocolate Lover’s Wine Trail – This decadent event features six famous wineries in Indiana in and around the Circle City. Love is all about chocolate, anyway, isn’t it? Add wine and you have a splurge you won’t forget. Featured Indy Wine Trail wineries: Buck Creek Winery, Chateau Thomas Winery, Easley Winery, New Day Meadery, Mallow Run Winery and Simmons Winery. February 12 & 13. $25 in advance or $30 on event day.|
|ComedySportz Indianapolis – Why take it all so seriously, it’s only love! ComedySportz Arena offers special Valentine’s Day games and fun, and door prizes to celebrate their recent 15th birthday. 7:30 pm, February 14-16. $15 for adults, $12 for students and seniors.|
|The Propylaeum Luncheon – The Ayres Models will be gracing the tea room at Indy‘s famous Propylaeum, just the way they used to do. The big, frothy pink house is an icon to romance among Indianapolis real estate, and the Valentine menu is special for only $20. Wednesday, February 9, 2011.|
|Romance and Remembrance: Valentines and Vintages – The President Benjamin Harrison Home, premier attraction and museum in Indianapolis, presents this romantic live reading of love letters written by United States Presidents, enhanced by a tapas-style, five-course dinner at the Propylaeum Club’s Carriage House. The wine will be changed to match each course, and the recipes, like the love letters, are also Presidential.|
|Songs of Love: A Musical Valentine – This is one of the fabulous free events offered by the faculty at the University of Indianapolis in the Ruth Lilly Performance Hall at the Christel DeHaan Fine Arts Center. 7:30 pm, February 14, 2011. No charge.|
