This Friday, April 29 the Irving Theatre in Irvington plays hosts to the Songwriter’s Circle featuring Joe Peters, Robert Feddersen, Jamie Nichole, Jenna Epkey. These Indiana natives will jam out together for your listening pleasure in an unmatchable Indianapolis music event. This Indianapolis events is FREE and gets underway at 8:00 pm.
Joe Peters is a Hoosier musicians with a focus on acoustic, folk rock. Based out of West Lafayette, Indiana, he picks away at his guitar creating music in the vein of Cat Stevens, Donovan, the Moody Blues, Neil Young and John Prine. He hopes to transport audiences back to a time where the youth of the planet sought the experience of love and peace in their music.
Jamie Nichole has been a vital part of the Indianapolis music scene for te past eight years. This Indianapolis artist, based in Bloomington, Indiana, creates beautiful music through simple lyricism and detailed stories. She released The Attic Recordings and currently is working on a new collection of songs in Nashville, Tennessee.
Robert Rolfe Feddersen’s latest album, Milkman, tells stories with the use of his acoustic guitar. His stories cover topics ranging from hard labor, strange lands, tough times and optimism. Though his songs are folksy in nature, they are permeated with a strong rock and roll vibe. This native of Crown Point, Indiana ascribes to acoustic, Americana and folk rock. Feddersen’s music has been featured on stage next to Metallica and in over 30 films, television shows, video games and more.
Jenna Epkey prides herself on a certain level of vocal versatility in her performances. With a voice that is simultaneously unique and familiar, Epkey transports audiences to a different world with her sultry vocal chords. Her passion and faith in God elicit powerful performances that offers a glimpse into the struggles, emotions and feelings every human faces.
