Two Wheels One City at Indianapolis City Market Downtown

IndyCog and Sun King Brewery team up for Two Wheels One City, a fundraiser event for Freewheelin’ Community Bikes, at Indianapolis City Market Saturday, May 7. This Indianapolis event in the heart of Indianapolis downtown is back again after a successful first year last year. With tons of events that are friendly for Indianapolis kids and a sponsor that is incredibly adult friendly, this Indianapolis event is the perfect afternoon for bike riders to meet for a good cause. The fun starts at 3:00 pm.

Free Wheelin’ Community Bikes is an Indianapolis not for profit that brings communities across the Circle City together through bicycles. This organization offers programs for Indianapolis kids regarding mechanical and riding skills, provides bikes to people at a time when exorbitant gas prices are making life difficult for many and programs neighborhood rides and riding programs for people of all ages. With a focus on fun and healthy, Free Wheelin’ Community Bikes provides options for at risk youth and their communities struggling through these tough economic times.

Two Wheels One City will raise money to support the work of Free Wheelin’ Community Bikes. Organizers are bringing back the successful events of last year including a slow race, clown bikes, track stand competition, tire changing competition and bunny hops. In addition, they are adding a few new features including the Sun King trike race as the impressive main event. The winner of this special competition will get their name engraved on an awesome handmade trophy.
Celebrate the ever growing bicycle population that permeates Indianapolis. And take a step toward reducing your carbon foot print. City Market proves an appropriate location for this now annual event, as the east wing of the central downtown location will be the site of a station for bicycle commuters.

This event offers secure bike parking for all who arrive on two wheels. If you do need to drive, there will also be designated parking areas in close proximity. Get your food on at this Indianapolis event with dozens of great vendors. And of course, all liquid refreshment (well nearly all) will be provided by the local Sun King brewery. In addition, enjoy Indianapolis music from Sarah Gran and the Leisure Kings.
