The Indianapolis 500 Mile Race is almost upon us. As May draws to a close, the biggest spectacle in racing takes center stage in Indianapolis sports. But before those IndyCars make a seeming endless amount of left hand turns this coming Sunday, its time to celebrate. While the more “mature” population of Indianapolis people will be walking the red carpet at the Snakepit Ball at the Indiana Roof Ballroom, Indianapolis’ hip, young crowd will party it up in Indianapolis downtown as well. The 4th Annual FANtasy 500 Party takes over the Columbia Club off of Monument Circle Saturday, May 28, 2011 from 9:00 pm to 3:00 am. This star studded event is only $75.00 per person ($100 for VIP guests), which includes an open bar and hors d’oeuvres.
Hosts Catt Sadler and Carlos Diaz will pump Indianapolis people up for the impending race phenomenon in Speedway, Indiana. They take the stage at the Columbia Club this Saturday at 9 pm to lead the biggest party in racing. They will also be joined by pop super star Christina Milian. This Indianapolis event offers a swank party with famous faces, and everyone in Indianapolis is invited.
Catt Sadler is a well known personality on E!: Entertainment Television, where she hosts The Daily Ten. A Hoosier at heart, Catt graduated from Indiana University in Bloomington, Indiana with a Bachelors degree in Journalism. In fact, Sadler’s first ever gig was in the movie Hoosiers at the age of 11. Soon after graduating from one of the top Indiana colleges and universitiesp, Sadler headed west to San Francisco, where she got a gig as a reporter at a local news station. She soon began co-hosting Indiana Lottery’s Hoosier Millionaire and was the official emcee of the Indiana Pacers during the 2003-04 season. She also appeared on General Hospital and Night Shift, before hitting big in the entertainment comedy industry on E!
Fans of CNN have recently started signing on to there sister network HLN The “News and Views” Network. HLN viewers will recognize Carlos Diaz from HLN’s “Morning Express with Robin Meade,” where he serves as the Sports Anchor. This popular morning talk show digs deep into the top stories of the day, with a healthy daily dose of new, weather, sports, entertainment and finance topics. As the go to guy for sports on HLN, Diaz has sports reporting in his blood. He is a former reporter for ESPN’s “Sports Center,” where he cut his teeth on interviews with Michael Jordan, Tiger Woods and Indianapolis Colts’ star Peyton Manning. Diaz also served as an anchor for the NBA’s own television network NBA TV.
Christina Milian is a recording artist, actress, dancer and model who hit in big in 2001 with her self titled debut album. The record, which topped the charts in the United States and around the world, featured the hit singles “AM to PM” and “When You Look At Me.” Since its release, Milian has recorded two other hit albums and has a fourth in the works. This musician first gained recognition at a young age with a spot on the Disney Channel’s “The Mickey Mouse Club.” Since then she has performed in a string of television and film including “Be Cool,” “American Pie,” “Pulse,” and “Ghosts of Girlfriends Past.”
Come party with these international celebrities at the Columbia Club in Indianapolis downtown. Before the event, take a stroll around the Soldiers’ and Sailors’ Monument that makes up Monument Circle. This Indianapolis event doesn’t get going until relatively late.
