On the impressive list of Greater Indianapolis attractions, Conner Prairie is, without a doubt, one of the most important.
Conner Prairie is an interactive, living history museum in the Indianapolis suburb of Fishers, Indiana. The park attracts thousands of visitors every year from Indiana and all over the United States. By visiting Conner Prairie, tourists in Greater Indianapolis and local Hoosiers alike immerse themselves in the historic lifestyle of the hardy souls who populated the early Midwest during the 1800s.
This summer, Conner Prairie offers the multi-million dollar installation they call “1863 Civil War Journey: Raid on Indiana.” This is an interactive activity in the park as well as a Civil War re-enactment, all so authentic, you may find the lines between reality and nonreality, the past and the present to be blurring right before your eyes.
Fun City Finder has compiled a comprehensive chart of activities available during the 2011 summer at Conner Prairie, to make it easy for you to plan your adventure in advance. Why not make it a Conner Prairie summer this year!
