Eckstein’s House of Awards is a purveyor of trophies on a grand scale. Located in Anderson, Indiana, about a half-hour northeast of Indianapolis proper, Eckstein’s is one of many remarkable businesses in Greater Indianapolis. Owned by Dave Eckstein since 1964, it’s a model for small businesses in Indiana, remaining stable yet flexible enough to change across the generations.
One of the interesting facets about Eckstein’s House of Awards is that Dave Eckstein is presently in the process of handing over the baton to his son, Greg. The two men, together, are carefully sculpting the company’s future while son Greg takes in some 45 years of know-how and experience accrued by his father. They agree that this process, no matter how many years it takes, will be done right.
At the tender age of seven, Greg started helping his dad around the shop. Then it was off to Asia to ply his trade at various high-level job opportunities in marketing and I.T. But after all that, Greg ended up back home again in Indiana, working at his father’s side to learn about the family business and contribute a fresh outlook on its future.
Eckstein’s House of Awards sells all types of trophies and recognition methods, from the traditional to trophies which are in reality pieces of modern art. Read more about this interesting business in Indianapolis’ suburb of Anderson here.
