Find a Career at the 2011 WTHR Employment Opportunity Fair

It’s time to update your resume, shine your shoes and dress for success! The Indiana Convention Center in the heart of Indianapolis downtown hosts the 2011 WTHR Employment Opportunity Fair as part of the Indiana Black Expo. Meet with employers, apply for jobs and network for your career at this important Indianapolis event. Thursday, July 14 from 9:00 am to 6:00 pm, the Indiana Convention Center 500 Ballroom will be flooded with professionals trying to get ahead and make good in the Indianapolis business world. Get in on the action and take part in one of the largest single day job fairs in Indiana.
More than 100 employers are participating in the hopes of finding a few new additions to their teams. Those that make the best impression could be meeting with their future employers this Thursday downtown.

Because of recent economic struggles, navigating the job market can lead to serious employment insecurity. If your feeling lost in your career, take the opportunity as a time for growth. Meet with career counselors from FlashPoint, an Indianapolis based human resources and management counseling service. On site volunteers will help you create or refine your resume. At the end of it all, walk away with ten brand new resumes to hand out to employers that day!
Join in a FREE Career Development Workshop at 10:00 am to 2:00 pm. The sessions, titled “Winning: How to get the job that you were meant to have,” are hosted by Staffmark and Lilly. Learn what it means to build a career in this tough economic time. The session includes conversation with a panel of experts, who each bring something unique to the table. Learn how to identify your strengths and weaknesses and how to use them both to your advantage in an interview situation. Take notes on effective business writing.
