SoBro Cafe: Eclectic and Healthy Home Cooking

The SoBro Cafe is an eclectic cafe that offers deliciously healthy home cooking in a convenient location south of Broad Ripple Village. Enjoy great tasting and interesting food at this Indianapolis restaurant. The internationally inspired dishes are both healthy and satisfying. SoBro Cafe offers selections for every taste from steak eaters to vegetarians and vegans. SoBro even has some yummy creations for guest on a gluten-free diet. All of the food made by Chef Jenxie is made from scratch including sauces, soups, dressings and even their ketchup.

Their dining room is filled with Indianapolis art, available for immediate sale. And 100% of the money goes directly back to the Indianapolis artist who made it. Even the cast of characters on the SoBro staff have their own eclectic talents: two art gallery curators, two visual artists (with work on display in Indianapolis), four performing musicians, and a fire spinner.

SoBro has the market covered when it comes to pancakes. Try their savory creations like “the mushroom,” made with cheese, sauteed mushrooms, sweet corn, tomato and avocado, or “the Popeye” made with spinach, sauteed red pepper and Swiss. Or feed your sweet tooth with their sweet pancakes like “the Amsterdam” made with apples, raisins and cinnamon. “Yvonne’s Favorite” is another cafe favorite made with fresh strawberries and powdered sugar.

In for lunch? Enjoy any of SoBro’s creative sandwiches. The Aussie Club is a mammoth creation of turkey, ham, cheddar, bacon, sprouts, lettuce, tomato, mustard and cranberry sauce on toasted sourdough. Or enjoy the Veggie Grill: a pita stuffed with tempeh, broccoli, mushrooms, zucchini, sauteed with goat cheese, spinach and tahini sauce.
