Interior designFor most of us, the word “home”, in its most idealized form, connotes a space of comfort, security and beauty. Ever since Bob Vila’s show, This Old House, first aired on PBS television in 1979, millions of homeowners have tried to realize the dream of the perfect home. Not surprising, the home improvement industry has grown by leaps and bounds over the past 30-some years, into a multi-billion dollar industry.

For anyone with an interest in home improvement, or for anyone who just wants to get out of the house and do something interesting, the Indiana Home and Garden Show is coming to the Indiana Convention Center, starting on Friday, January 4, 2013. Expect a show that is both informative and inspiring, and which showcases the latest home improvement products from the home improvement and home building industries.

At your disposal will be industry professionals who are at the cutting edge of their respective fields, offering a wealth of ideas relating to all aspects of the home, including the latest techniques and approaches to remodeling and, building and construction innovations; and various technologies, including those designed to enhance your home’s energy efficiency.

Interior RennovationThe beauty of the Indiana Home and Garden Show is that it offers a rare opportunity to talk directly to top local and national industry experts, all gathered under the same roof and willing to share valuable information with anyone who has the desire to learn more regarding any aspect of the home. Many of the professionals who will be in attendance at this year’s event have dedicated their entire careers to becoming experts in their respective field. It’s one thing to search the internet for information. It’s another to be able to directly interact with someone who understands more than keywords entered into a web browser.

This year’s show will be all-encompassing. Whether your interest lies in cabinetry and counter tops, basement finishing, flooring or all types, including hardwoods, laminates or tile; additions and sun rooms; waterproofing and sealing; home automation and the latest smart technologies; energy efficient technology, such as windows and exterior products; as well as the latest approaches to landscape installations, you’re sure to find the information you need.
