Join in the celebration at the Indiana State Museum’s 10th Annual Indiana Art Fair in downtown Indianapolis, Indiana. This year’s juried show will feature 63 artists from the Hoosier state, representing 22 counties, each offering their work for sale. With a diverse selection of art in a variety of mediums, including ceramics, drawing, fiber, glass, gourds, jewelry, leather, mixed media, painting, paper and book arts, photography and wood. Suffice it to say, finding the right piece of art for your wall, mantel, coffee table, whatever, shouldn’t be a problem.
A cash bar complete with hors d’oeuvres, including treats from Gigi’s Cupcakes and Cabot Creamery, will be served as the show kicks off Friday evening at 5:53 pm. D’Indy String Quartet, one of Indy’s premier string ensembles, will provide a backdrop of elegance, with their hybrid of classical music, show tunes, and standards.
The Indiana Art Fair is supported by the Arts Council of Indianapolis, the City of Indianapolis, the Indiana Arts Commission and the National Endowment for the Arts. This year’s media sponsor is WFYI.
Whether your taste is fine, funky, or even functional, this year’s 2-day show will appeal to a broad spectrum of artistic sensibilities. Oh, and an added bonus at this year’s event: Guests paying to attend the Friday evening reception will be allowed in free on Saturday, Feb. 16.
