‘Juke Box Heros’ Foreigner to Perform at the Belterra Casino

British-American rock band, Foreigner, will perform in Concert at Belterra Casino in Florence, Indiana on Saturday, February 16, 2013. For anyone who loves classic ‘70s rock, this is a must-see concert that will showcase some of the band’s most popular hits, including “Hot Blooded”, “Jukebox Hero”, “Feels Like the First Time”, “Cold as Ice” and “Waiting For A Girl Like You”, among others.

Foreigner was one of the most popular rock bands of the ‘70s and ‘80s, consistently selling out concerts and racking up smash hits. This is a band that captivated an entire generation music fans and played a major role in shaping the sound of ‘70s rock, as their several multi-platinum albums will attest.

They were a British-American act in the truest sense, with Mick Jones, Ian McDonald and Dennis Elliott on the British side and Lou Gramm Al Greenwood, and Ed Gagliardi on the American side. In fact, the band’s name was inspired by the fact that no matter where they performed, at least some of the band members would be considered foreigners.

Foreigner was on a dwindling list of ’70s rock artists that managed to thrive into the ’80s. Their ‘80s hits included “Urgent”, “Waiting for a Girl Like You”, “Juke Box Hero”, “Break it Up”, “I Want to Know What Love Is”, “That Was Yesterday”, “Say You Will” and “I Don’t Want to Live Without You”. Other ‘70s acts that continued to thrive included Journey, Styx, REO Speedwagon and Elton John. How that for a trip down memory lane?

The Belterra’s Center Stage Showroom is a 1,500 seat facility designed around the concept of smaller, more intimate performances. And because the venue affords an ideal sightline for all guests and boasts an advanced sound system, there really isn’t a bad seat in the house.
