The Schnull-Rauch House, located at 3050 North Meridian Street, has been named this year’s Decorators’ Show House. This unique, home show is a great way to see the work of some of the most talented interior designers and landscapers in the Central Indiana area, up-close and personal. As always, Maggies’ Café will be on-site serving light lunches and delicious handmade pastries.
It is a joint effort, to be sure. For example, The Aquascape Company, Inc worked on the South Carriage House Garden, while Todd Otterman of Design Works worked on the Gentleman’s Lounge. JSC Stylish Interiors worked on the first-floor floor rear hall and stairs, and Chris Beehler of Beehler Kitchens, LLC worked on the Ballroom Kitchen. These are just a few of more than 30 designers who went to work on the some aspect of the home’s interior or exterior.
Each year, these talented professionals volunteer their time, services and goods to renovating a home to help raise funds for various Wishard services and programs, including pediatrics, burn units, newborns and breast cancer diagnostics.
The typically process starts with an inquiry by a homeowner. Once a decision has been made, an a prospect identified, the homeowner agrees to take up a temporary residence elsewhere while renovations take place. Preview tours take place in early February to allow a look at the home pre-production, after which, work commences.
The St. Margaret’s Hospital Guild has helped generate over $10 million for Wishard Health Services in down through the years. The organization was founded in 1907 for the purpose of rasing funds for health advocacy, care and education.
