This year’s Zest ‘n Zing was hosted at the Eugene and Marilyn Glick Indiana History Center on May 7th, 2013. Chef Jason M. Anderson & purebread Simmental farmer, Ginny Tauer (Team Beef) went head-to-head against Chef Greg Schiesser & pork producer, Nick Sommers (Team Pork). Though Team Beef ultimately took home the victory, both sets of food experts succeeded in creating delicious and nutritious meals. The real win, however, went to Gleaners Food Bank who was able to raise nearly $5,000 from this foodie event. That translates to nearly 20,000 meals for the food insecure.
