Are speed limits holding you back? Do you have a “need for speed?” If so, then “Wild Wednesday Street Legals and Slick Tire Test and Tune” at Lucas Oil Raceway is the perfect opportunity to put your car to the test and “unleash hell.”
You don’t have to have a reason for wanting to go fast. And best of all, you won’t have to worry about getting a speeding ticket. This fun event is open to all licensed drivers, weather permitting. Racers under 18 must have a minor release signed by parent.
As the name implies, this event takes place on Wednesdays, although not necessarily every Wednesday, and will continue through the last week of October.
It costs $20 to race your car, truck or motorcycle, and $5 to participate solely as a spectator. But be advised: If your car it TOO fast, as in ¼ mile in 9.99 seconds or less, you’ll be required to have an NHRA (National Hot Rod Association) license. This is one of 20 other rules by which that participants must abide. Fuel is sold during every Wednesday Night from 5:30 to 7:30 P.M
A note for motorcyclists: Nitrous oxide IS ALLOWED so long as it is securely mounted per DOT regulations. Just don’t forget to bring your helmet!
