Country music star Blake Shelton hit the road July 19th, officially kicking off his “Ten Times Crazier” tour. He will perform at Klipch Music Center in Noblesville, Indiana on July 27. Easton Corbin and ACM New Female Vocalist of the Year Jana Kramer will accompany him on the tour as special guests.
The tour is in support of his eighth studio album, Based on a True Story…, which has already spawned two recent hits, “Boys ‘Round Here” and “Sure Be Cool If You Did.” The latest release, “Mine Would Be You” is already climbing the charts. Expect him to perform many of his hits, as well as some older classics and even a few surprises.
While the tour is just a week old, it has already sold over 100,000 tickets. The early success has taken even Shelton by surprise. “I heard music playing and just figured it was beach goers but then I went outside and realized my fans had arrived earlier in the morning to tailgate. Here we are in New York and there are pickup trucks and cowboy hats filling out the parking lot at Jones Beach. That was beyond anything I had anticipated,” he said recently.
Indeed, his career has come a long way since 1994 when a career in country music was just a dream. Now, six gold and platinum albums later, his career is still on the rise. He has multiple Grammy nominations to his name, and is the winner of 15 other major awards. He owns a streak of nine consecutive No. 1 singles and is a three-time host of the ACM Awards. He was recently featured on the August cover of Men’s Journal magazine.
Easton Corbin, who joins him on the tour, has had success with his recent, top-10 single, “All Over the Road,” while Jana Kramer’s single, “I Hope It Rains” has been steadily climbing the charts.
