America’s Got Talent Auditions Coming to Indy January 25-26

Add another high-profile event to the city’s resume, because the producers of America’s Got Talent will be shooting live in Indianapolis January 25-26, 2014.

Yes, Indianapolis has been added to the 2014 list of nationwide stops, where AGT will set up shop at the Indiana Convention Center for two days in search of the ‘next big thing.’

Other stops along the way include Houston, Nashville, Greensboro, Baltimore, Providence, Los Angeles, Miami, Atlanta, New York and Denver.

Say what you will about realty shows. But the ‘reality’ is that opportunities of this sort don’t come around often. It’s a chance to showcase your talent and possibly take home the $1 million prize.

Auditions are open people of all ages and all talent categories. In previous seasons, talent categories have included everything from dancers, musicians and singers to comedians, magicians, animal acts, contortionists and basically anything else you can imagine.

The 90-second auditions that will take place for season 9 of America’s Got Talent represent the initial round of auditions. As such, they will take place not in front of the celebrity judges, but instead, the show’s Producers, who will decide who gets to audition before the actual judges only after the initial round has concluded in every city. And if you can’t make it in-person to audition they allow you to send in a video audition.

Celebrity judges include Howard Stern, Howie Mandel, Heidi Klum and Mel B. Nick Cannon, the show’s host, will also return for season 9.

Think you have what it takes? Now’s your chance to find out.
