Today I turned 24 years young and was taken to a celebratory luncheon at the elegant Cooper’s Hawk Winery & Restaurant. Let me just say that it was the most d-e-licious lunch I’ve had the pleasure of eating in a looong time.
The restaurant has a rustic vibe with its wine barrels and and exposed wooden beams. The whole experience felt warm and inviting with a touch of modern class which makes it perfect for lunch with coworkers, on a date night, or taking your parents out for a nice meal.
This place is perfect for the wine connoisseur, but also for someone wanting to try a wine for the first time. Sparkling, white, blush, red, sweet red, fruit, dessert, and wine flights adorn the first page of the menu. A helpful tip is to look at the bin numbers next to the entrées to find which wine will compliment your choice in food.
I paired a glass of the Unoaked Chardonnay with the Chef’s Choice Cooper’s Hawk Chicken Giardiniera and boy was it mouth-watering. The Parmesan Breaded Chicken mixed perfectly with the spicy Giardiniera Vegetables and Mary’s Potatoes.

A friend tried Dana’s Parmesan Crusted Chicken with Garlic Green Beans, Tomato Basil Relish, Lemon Butter, and Mary’s Potatoes. It’s so convenient that they have a whole menu devoted to their items that are gluten free to make it easier for those with special dietary needs.
After they stuffed me with an excellent meal, I was brought a complimentary dessert consisting of a rich chocolate truffle, chocolate covered tuxedo strawberry, and an edible happy birthday chocolate. I know, you’re thinking, “It all looks delicious, Jenna, but did it really measure up in taste?” Yes. Yes. AND Yes. I’d give the whole meal an A++.
Now that I’ve convinced you that you need to try Cooper’s Hawk, after your meal you can stop in their shop to pick up anything your little wino heart desires.
I will refrain from trying every single one of those delicious looking truffles.
