Nestled in a quaint little house at 303 E Main St. in Westfield, IN, the Black Plum Café and Bakery is the perfect place to grab a bite to eat that features fresh, chef-created breakfast and lunch items. Come in for a cup of their organic coffee and make yourself comfortable in the lounge nook. The Black Plum offers free wifi for their patrons, so this is the perfect spot to get a tasty treat and hunker down on your workload.
There’s also a full section of bistro tables to sit at and enjoy lunch with coworkers or friends. In the summertime, you’ll be able to enjoy your meal outside in the rose garden and observe the fish in the koi pond.
The owner, Nancy Nearon, offers a custom catering service and would love to help plan the event of your dreams. No matter how small or large, casual or elegant your event is, the crew at Black Plum will be sure to give you just what you’re looking for. They also specialize in dessert cakes and pies, including cheesecake, amaretto carrot cake and a Mayan chocolate pie.

All their food is light, fresh and delicious! I really recommend one of their wintertime soups on a cold day. I’ll be back for another cup of the ginger peanut butternut squash soup featured below.
Nearon will be working on more gluten free items to add to the menu after the grand opening in a few weeks. Right now the café is having a soft opening from 9:30 am to 3:30 pm Monday through Friday and 10 am to 3 pm on Saturday.
