Top Places to See July 4th Fireworks 2014 in the Indy Area

Indianapolis:

Regions Bank Freedom Blast
Date:  July 4, 2014 at 9:45pm
Where: Regions Bank Tower, 1 Indiana Square, in downtown Indianapolis

This is the granddaddy of all the fireworks shows in central Indiana. Head downtown early with chairs and blankets to find a prime viewing spot. Or settle on a spot on the outskirts of downtown — this show can be seen from 10 miles away.

Catch a game and a fireworks show at Victory Field. Bonus — the July 4th game will allow you to see the on-field fireworks display and then sit back and enjoy the Regions Bank Freedom Blast show, too.

Brownsburg:

4th of July Extravaganza

Come early to enjoy carnival games and rides, bingo and plenty of food. The fireworks are free, but bring cash for food, games, and rides.

Carmel:

Tune your radio to 107.9 FM (or look for a livestream from your smartphone) to enjoy a musical simulcast with this fireworks display.

Danville:

Danville Family 4th Fest

Where: Danville Community High School, 100 Warrior Way, Danville, Indiana

Arrive as early as 7pm for music, food and games. Fireworks fans can put a blanket down on the high school football field for prime viewing.

Fishers:

Fishers Freedom Festival Fireworks
Date:  June 29, 2014 at 9:50pm
Where: Holland Memorial Park, 1 Park Drive, Fishers, Indiana

Wave your flag early at the Fishers Freedom Festival. You can catch the fireworks here on June 29 and head to another fireworks display on the 4th of July.

Star Spangled Symphony at Conner Prairie

Nothing says “Independence Day” like the booming cannons of the 1812 overture played by the Indianapolis Symphony Orchestra. Tickets for this event are $27 for adults and $11 for children. Kids 2 and under do not need a ticket. Bring your own blankets and chairs or reserve a premium seating table.

Franklin: 

Franklin Christian Fellowship Freedom Fest
Date:  June 29, 2014 at Dusk
Where: Franklin Christian Fellowship, 2800 Grahm Rd, Franklin, Indiana

Free kids games, four Christian bands on stage and food for purchase make this pre-4th fireworks fest a sure winner.

Franklin Firecracker Festival
Date:  July 3, 2014 at 10:10pm
Where: Indiana Masonic Home Circle, Branigin Blvd, Franklin, Indiana

Wear a red, white & blue swim suit for free swimming at the Franklin Memorial Pool. Dry off in time for the Franklin Community Band performance at 6pm and then stick around for the fireworks show.

Geist:

Blast On The Bridge
Date:  July 4, 2014 at Dusk
Where: Geist Reservoir Bridge, 11691 Fall Creek Rd.

A boat parade is a unique display at this event, which begins at 5:30pm. Revelers can also expect skydivers, food vendors and a KidsZone.

Greenwood:

Greenwood Freedom Festival
Date:  June 28, 2014 at 10:15pm
Where: Craig Park, East Smith Valley Road, Greenwood, Indiana

A flag ceremony will take place at 9:45pm before the fireworks begin at 10:15pm.

Lebanon:

Boone County Fireworks
Date:  July 4, 2014 at 10:00pm
Where: Lebanon Middle School, 1800 N Grant St., Lebanon, Indiana

The theme of this celebration is “And Still We Stand…” recognizing the resilience of the American spirit. But you don’t have to stand for these fireworks. Bring blankets or chairs to sit on.

Noblesville:

Noblesville Fourth of July Festival
Date:  July 4, 2014 at 10:00pm
Where: Noblesville High School grounds, 18111 Cumberland Rd,  Noblesville, Indiana

This event begins with a parade at 5:00pm, followed by a car show, music and kids’ activities. Food will be available for purchase.

Plainfield:

Plainfield Fourth of July Extravaganza
Date:  July 4, 2014 at 9:55pm
Where: Hummel Park, 1500 S. Center St., in Plainfield, Indiana

Kids can shake out their sillies in a bounce house, climbing wall and giant slide, all of which open at 5:00pm. A free Hendricks County Symphony Orchestra concert will follow at 6:00pm.

Westfield:

Westfield Rocks The Fourth Fireworks
Date:  July 4, 2014 at 10:00pm
Where: Asa Bales Park, 205 W. Hoover St, Westfield, Indiana

If wheels are your thing, Westfield is the place to be on July 4. This event will host a car show and a motorcycle show, as well as a bike ride to raise money for prostate cancer. The fun, including a beer and wine garden, begins at 4:00pm.

Zionsville:

Zionsville July 4th Fireworks
Date:  July 4, 2014 at Dusk
Rain date:  July 5, 2014 at Dusk
Where: Lions Park; 115 S. Elm St

Premium parking is available for $5. Kids’ activities begin in the park at 5pm.  Food, music and fun will continue until the fireworks begin at dusk.
