One of my favorite things about the Indiana State Fair is the focus on Indiana local produce and goods. I love seeing all the local farmers in action. The animal barns, the livestock auctions, the country market, the ag-hort building — it’s amazing to have the opportunity to see a wide variety of farms at all possible stages.
We saw baby ducklings hatch. We saw tiny calves. We saw seeds and amazing Indiana local produce. We tasted fresh milkshakes and pork sandwiches and sweet corn. Farm to table — all in one place. Now that the Indiana State Fair is officially over, we move into one of my favorite seasons. Fall is filled with farm tours, apple picking, and pumpkin rides so we’ll get to see it all up close again!
