Bagger Dave’s Burger Tavern

Bagger-Dave's-IndianapolisI was recently invited to Bagger Dave’s to sample their signature drinks and vote for our favorites. The event included 7 small cocktails and a couple appetizers to share among our table of 12. Since the appetizer offerings were a little thin, and we were starving, we also ordered our own food.

The burgers were decent, but the service was slow, and the cocktails were weak. It’s a pretty cool-looking place, though, and perhaps with a smaller party, things would go a little smoother.

Here are a few photos and details from our experience:

I ordered a BLT, no bun, from the sandwich menu, expecting a BLT cheeseburger. No burger here, though it is priced the same as the burgers! I paid $2 extra for the burger they brought me to correct the mistake.

We sampled the signature cocktails in the bar. There was no real standout, but I definitely did not like the one that features pickle juice. (What?!) Most were sweet but a little light on the liquor.

The French Fries were definitely tasty, and I was intrigued by the idea of a signature ketchup.

Get the tavern fries. Trust me! This combo of blue cheese and buffalo garlic sauce was incredible.

Kids would really enjoy the train theme, including an actual moving train that circles the restaurant.
