The free event is a chance to celebrate with Triton’s staff and other Triton fans as they commemorate the breweries’ three years of beer production. Triton’s opening date was Oct. 15, 2011.
“It’s our way of celebrating what we have going on but also an appreciation for the people that enjoy our beer and say ‘hey, come celebrate with us and have a good time.’” Athena Scholl, Triton Breweries’ office and sales manager said.
Triton will have 23 beers on tap for the event. A special tapping of “Batch One,” an imperial stout and the first beer Triton brewed, will be held at the anniversary party. Batch One has been aged for 39 months in bourbon barrels, it will be one of six beers showcased at the event that has been aged in bourbon barrels.
Triton will also release its Gingerbread Brown at the event.
Food truck vendors will provide food at the event, the vendors include: Serendipity, Slider Station and Taste of the Caribbean.
A family friendly portion of the anniversary party will be held from 2 to 5 p.m., activities such as face painting, caricatures and a balloon artist will be available at the the event.
“This is something that we do every year,” Scholl said. “It’s a way that we can celebrate. We set things aside so people can taste beers for people who maybe don’t have an opportunity to. We want to do something where we can show we appreciate the people that come in with their kids and to make the kids feel welcome.”
This event is free and open to the public. Beer and other products are not free but are available for purchase at the event.
