#Indianapolis – On Saturday night, we spent the evening on a farm with fellow bloggers. The highlight for me was the 240 Sweet marshmallows over the campfire. The unique flavors are even more amazing when slightly roasted. And, the handcrafted vanilla marshmallows are perfection on a s’more.
I love s’mores so much, I’ve hosted entire parties around the theme. We had a full table of s’mores-themed desserts and plenty of marshmallows for roasting over the fire. And now that I’ve seen what 240 Sweet marshmallows can do for s’more, I kind of want a do-over.
240 Sweet marshmallows are handmade in Columbus, Indiana. The artisan marshmallows contain locally sourced, natural, and organic ingredients. They can be purchased online, at artisan and foodie events across central Indiana, and at Homespun in Indianapolis. They craft several unique flavored marshmallows. My current favorite for s’mores season is Hickory Vanilla, but the Salty Caramel Swirl on its own is to die for!
S’mores Rice Krispy Treats
Use flavored marshmallows for a unique take on the traditional rice krispy treats and stir in chocolate chips for a s’mores twist on this favorite snack.
Insert a sucker stick into each marshmallow. Dip first into warm chocolate melts, then crushed graham crackers. Place on waxed paper until cooled and chocolate has hardened.
S’mores Trail Mix
Fill snack-sized baggies with chocolate chips, teddy grahams, and mini-marshmallows (or dice 240 Sweet marshmallows into smaller pieces).
Melt 1.5 cups chocolate chips and 1 8-oz container of whipped cream together and stir until smooth. Top with coarsely chopped chocolate bars, marshmallows, and nuts. Bake 8-10 minutes until marshmallows are toasted. Serve warm with graham crackers, fruit, and more marshmallows.
