#Indianapolis – I’m not sure there’s anything spookier than a cemetery in October. With Halloween approaching, senses are already on high alert, and the spook level goes to 11. So, of course, it’s only natural to add ghost stories to the mix.
Storytelling Arts of Indiana kicks off their new season with the annual Ghost Stories at Crown Hill event. More than two hours of delightfully spooky stories from Indiana’s most amazing storytelling artists.
Last year’s event was a lot of fun for our family. The kids really enjoyed hearing the rhythmic chants, spooky stories, and fun Halloween tales.
We have attended a few more storytelling events since then, and they can’t wait to go back for the ghost stories. These stories are recommended for “older children,” but we took all of ours, and even the 7-year-old had a great time. They all enjoyed seeing the Ghostbusters vehicle, loved hearing the stories, and wanted to taste everything the food trucks had to offer.
This year’s Ghost Stories at Crown Hill is on Saturday, October 11th 7:30-10pm. Tickets are $5 for kids and $20 for adults, with a $50 household option. There is also an RIP Reception before the stories, and a celebration of Crown Hill Cemetery’s 150th anniversary. “Crown Fest” rides on Dillinger’s Trolley and historical re-enactors with even more stories. It’s one of the most fun events to celebrate Autumn in Indianapolis!
