#Indianapolis – The Villages is Indiana’s largest not-for-profit child and family services agency. Families interested in adoption and fostering turn to the Villages for guidance and assistance. With more than 20 offices located throughout the state, the organization serves more than 1,400 children and their families daily.
On Saturday, November 8th, the annual fundraiser CHAIRish the Children will take place at the Lucas Oil Estate. From 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. attendees will enjoy heavy appetizers, cocktails and non-alcoholic beverages as they bid on unique chairs and benches that have been designed and decorated specifically for this event. This year there’s a sports theme and guests are invited to compete in golf, basketball and other sports in the FUNd and GAMES Zone.
Check out the beautiful chairs on the Villages Facebook page. The chairs are adult and child sized and are all created by Indiana artists who have a heart for this organization. Special experiences as well as gift cards will be up for auction too. All proceeds will benefit the children served by The Villages and Prevent Child Abuse Indiana
Last year at the event, a group of my friends and I got together and enjoyed a great night out to benefit the Villages. We enjoyed the food, seeing the chairs (I almost won the best one in the silent auction) and meeting new people. It was also great to hear from a few families who have been involved with the Villages in various capacities.
Tickets are $75 each or $140 for two. Purchase them online today.
