I was at the protest on Saturday, Oct. 17, 2009. There was NO violence or clashing. The only thing that happened was police arrived at the request of the priest who thought the crowd might become violent. The police officer smiled as he looked at us and said, “You don’t look violent to me.” I personally was waving a U. S. flag. The priest’s concern was totally unfounded. A couple of marchers who are Catholic entered the church to see what it looked like and were enthralled with the beautiful music and stayed to listen for a few minutes.
That is all that happened! Check with the officers who responded.

Why do you people think we were there in the first place? To make the truth known! You should be ashamed of yourselves, Channel 13. You and your misinformation are EXACTLY why we were protesting!!!!! Is it that hard to tell the truth or get the facts right? Another shining example of why I don’t watch your station.

Relative to the Saturday October 17 media protest in Indianapolis. Channel 13 reported that “some of the protesters clashed with the parishioners” at the Catholic church. I was there and that is not true. The priest had called the police. The first poiceman to arrive said he had been told we might be violent but that we did not look violent to him. There was no clash and no violence. We believe that the priest was concerned because a couple of the protesters, who are Catholic, went inside the church and listened to the beautiful music.

This is a perfect example of why we were protesting. We want the TRUTH reported – not something invented to make the “news” look more interesting or support the media’s bias.
