For anyone in the Indianapolis area who loves cars, particularly the sports exotic variety, Indy Cars and Coffee is the place to be on Saturdays. The weekly event takes place each Saturday, from 10 am to noon in the parking lot located at the southeast intersection of 96th Street and Meridian Street.
What is Indy Cars and Coffee?
Quite simply, it is a place where car lovers come to show off their cool cars over a cup or two of coffee. The event is the brainchild of Casey Szink, a local digital marketing consultant and Mark Risa, a support specialist for a major email marketing company.
“It’s really just like-minded gearheads and enthusiasts. If you like cars just come out. It doesn’t matter what you drive, says Szink said at a recent event. “If you have a minivan, if you have a Porsche, if you have an old classic, we don’t care, we love them all. As long as you love cars and respect everyone around you and the lot, clean up after yourself (and) don’t do burnouts in the parking we’d love to have you.”
Take a walk around the lot on Saturday and it quickly becomes apparent that these people are passionate about cars.
