The Indianapolis Boat, Sport, & Travel Show originally brought an exciting experience for outdoor enthusiasts to Indianapolis in 1954 at the Indiana State Fairgrounds. The show now holds the title of Indiana‘s oldest sports show and offers exhibits and displays in the areas of hunting, boating, fishing, camping, and travel. It also it the largest show of its kind in the nation and offers over 600 exhibits.

In addition to the exhibitors on hand to provide visitors with the latest in outdoor sporting equipment and accessories, a wide variety of activities, presentations, contests, and seminars will be available for enjoyment of Indianapolis kids and adults alike. Guests of the Indianapolis Boat, Sport, & Travel Show have been entertained by various activities and presentations like a historical duck hunting display which features a model camp area of a hunting party stopped for the night. A Model-T, an 1899 “Get It There” duck boat, and a “tent bed”, which was a camping accessory for the Model-T, are also included in the display.

Additional activities include a scuba diving simulation area where visitors can experience a replicated scuba dive under the watchful eye of a scuba professional. Basic concepts and scuba skills are taught to prepare the participant for their own underwater scuba adventure. You can experience first-hand the underwater feeling of freedom that only scuba can provide, all while under the supervision and safety of a confined pool setting.

Laser shotgun 3D games, rock climbing adventure walls, wakeboard demonstrations, and much more will entertain Indianapolis Boat, Sport, & Travel Show goers of all ages. A special Kids Day will entertain the youngest of showgoers with entertainment and prizes for victorious children.
