Butler University Women’s Basketball: The Lady Dawgs

The Lady Dawgs, as the Butler University Women’s basketball team is affectionately known, are gearing up for a highly competitive season in the historic Hinkle Fieldhouse in Indianapolis. This tough, award-winning women’s basketball team shares the famous Hinkle Fieldhouse with Butler University’s men’s basketball team at Indy’s local Butler University, an Indianapolis sports team which has also been nationally recognized.

Indy‘s Hinkle Fieldhouse, right on the university grounds, is a historic basketball stadium constructed way back in 1928 and renovated in 1989. One of the important locales for Indianapolis sports, many major basketball events are hosted there.

The “Butler Bulldogs,” as both the men’s and women’s basketball teams are called, have consistently produced stars. Coming from the heart of Indianapolis, basketball capitol of the world, that’s not surprising.
