Waiting with M. Godot: A Delightful Romp through Love

Waiting with M. Godot is a delightful conversation about love, redheads, and fine wine playing at Theatre on the Square as part of the 2009 indyFringe Festival. This original script by Ronn Johnstone delicately explores the nature of love between men and women as a man prepares to propose to his girlfriend at a French restaurant.

Kurt Owens and Nick Foreman star as the the waiter and the waited (Jaxon) respectively. The two engage in an absurd conversation in which the mysterious waiter, M. Godot, highlights some of the brightest and dullest parts of love. Owens as Godot takes on a mystical quality as he intervenes in the most important night of Jaxon’s life.

Lisa Ermel gives a sassy performance as the lady of the show. Her character Dani marches to the beat of a different drum, and it seems that only with the help of M. Godot will Jaxon every truly understand why he loves her. Waiting with M. Godot was perhaps one of the most lovely shows in this years indyFringe Theatre Festival.

Engage in a bold and sexy tango with the cast of M. Godot as they reveal the secrets of love, all with a nod and a smile to Mr. Samuel Beckett. Waiting with M. Godot is at the Theatre on the Square on Mass Ave all week. Check out this fun piece as you enjoy this Indianapolis festival.
