Comprised of commercial and residential REALTORS®, the NATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF REALTORS® is the largest professional affiliation in the world. The NATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF REALTORS‘® main goal is to promote its members abilities to be successful in their business.

The NATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF REALTORS® holds its REALTORS® to a strict Code of Ethics and works to create a positive industry for real estate transactions. Created in 1908, NAR originally began with just over 100 members. Today, it has over 1.1 million members.

The NATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF REALTORS® endeavors to provide efficent and effective standards of practices for its members and promotes the freedom to own property. It works with its members, government and the public at large to relay information within the group to preserve this right.

Associations like the Indiana Association of REALTORS® work to achieve the same goals with Indiana REALTORS®. Those agents located in the Indianapolis real estate market also strive to provide this same standards of practice to Indianapolis.
