Master P Joins Circle City Classic; Indianapolis Live Music This Weekend

Circle City Classic Partnering With Master P and Son Romeo

The Circle City Classic, a historic Indianapolis sports event that brings visitors to Indianapolis from all over the Midwest, will be partnering with acclaimed hip-hop musician Master P for its 2009 incarnation. Lucas Oil Stadium, home of the Indianapolis Colts, plays host to a college football matchup between Alabama A&M and Tuskegee University, and it’s there that Master P and son Romeo will work their magic.

During halftime of the Circle City Classic, Master P will help his son’s band, College Boys, to create a music video on the spot. Any fan of Indianapolis music should attempt to go to the event, if not for Master P, then at least for the jazz band parade that flows through downtown Indianapolis.

The parade consists of marching bands from all over the country, and is always exciting to watch. Master P and Olympic gold medal swimmer Cullen Jones will also be grand marshals of the parade, while Romeo will be a junior parade marshal.

This Indianapolis event is one of the most important to Indianapolis education; the main goal of the Circle City Classic is to promote the importance of a college education to African-American students, a goal Master P has been passionate about.

The Circle City Classic is sponsored by the Indiana Black Expo, Ivy Tech Community College, Conrad Indianapolis, Channel 8 WISH TV, Eli Lilly and Company, Crown Plaza, Embassy Suites, Indianapolis Hilton, Hyatt Regency, the Indianapolis Recorder, and many more.
