Celebrate the Season With the Halloween Howl for Riley

On October 16, 2009, Indianapolis will host its fourth annual Halloween Howl Fundraiser, which will benefit the Riley Children’s Foundation this year. Over the past few years, the Halloween Howl has become one of the most eagerly anticipated October events in Indianapolis. From 7:00 p.m. until midnight, the glitzy Conrad Hotel in downtown Indianapolis will be buzzing with live music, a spirited costume contest, and plenty of dancing. Hors d’oeuvres will be served and adult beverages will be available, and you can help benefit a great cause by bidding on items at the silent auction.

Each year, the Halloween Howl sponsors a different Indianapolis nonprofit organization, and this year, Riley Children’s Hospital has received the honor. Over the past few years, the event has raised nearly $100,000 for charities around Indianapolis. Riley Children’s Foundation is already hard at work planning this year’s event. The funds raised will go directly toward improving the Child Life Activity Center in Riley Hospital Unit 2A, as well as the overarching art therapy initiative taking place throughout the hospital.

Riley Children’s Foundation is dedicated to improving not only the physical health, but the mental well-being of Indianapolis children. The organization supports Riley Hospital and its two research initiatives, Camp Riley and the James Whitcomb Riley Museum Home.
