This weekend in Indianapolis music, get ready for a slew of fun Indianapolis events. Indianapolis bands of all shapes and sizes are playing everywhere in the Circle City this weekend; downtown Indianapolis, Indianapolis cultural districts, Indianapolis suburbs…anywhere you go, there’s probably some sort of music event going on.
Probably the biggest concert event this weekend is The Elms‘ return to the Indianapolis stage. They’ll be playing at The Vogue on Friday with Green River Ordinance, A Squared, and Henry French & The Shameless, which should be an interesting night. The Hoosier hometown heroes recently released their fourth full length record, The Great American Midrange, to popular acclaim; the first single to the album, “Back to Indiana” debuted on national television during the Indianapolis 500.
The Spirit and Place Festival continues this weekend with events at Marian University, the Indiana Medical History Museum, and more historic and modern locations in the city. This Indianapolis festival‘s theme this year is Inspiring Places, and if the events last week are any indication, this week’s offerings should inspire a love, or at least an interest, for Indianapolis and Indianapolis history.
