If you have been following the FunCityFinder Hoosier Holiday Gift Guide this past week and a half, you have noticed that we have had a strong focus on the Indianapolis Arts scene. The reason for this, we are trying to promote what is so great about our city, while supporting our friends and family who make Indy so much fun. We figure you’re going to spend money this holiday season, so you might as well keep it local, right?

My suggestion today will be more of the same.  This year, stuff some stockings with tickets for great Indianapolis theatre. You can find a show perfect for the young and old alike. From downtown IndianapolisIndiana Repertory Theatre, to the northside’s Beef & Boards Dinner Theatre and Restaurant, Indianapolis has become a thriving city for the performing arts.

While the Indianapolis performing arts scene might not be for everyone, the holiday season provides the perfect introduction for those artistically challenged. What do I mean? Let me tell you.

From the time we were kids, we have all been tucked into a warm bed during Christmas to the exciting story of Clara in The Nutcracker, and that evil old man-turned repentant humanitarian Mr. Scrooge in A Christmas Carol. So why not take the time and see these stories come to life in a theatre near you. Everyone has a soft spot in their heart for a good Christmas story this time of year, unless they are Ebenezer incarnate.

So let me be the one to show you where to catch…the show.
