Shannon Forsell Headlines at the Cabaret

The Columbia Club in Indianapolis downtown welcomes Shannon Forsell to their intimate Cabaret stage for one night only this Friday, February 12. Tickets to this Indianapolis music event are $75.00 per person, which includes a three course dinner and a rose for you and your Valentine’s Day sweetheart. Seating and cocktails begin at 6:30 pm and the performance gets underway at 8:00 pm.

Shannon Forsell is known around Indianapolis theatre for her work at the American Cabaret Theatre, where she performed in nearly every show for a decade. Her favorite roles include Eva Peron in Evita and Sally Bowles in Cabaret. When not adopting a role on stage, Forsell divides her time between performing across the United States in venues in New York City and Washington DC. She recently made her New York City debut at the National Arts Club in Grammercy Park, where her one hour solo cabaret show was a smash hit.

Though Shannon Forsell performs at theatre, clubs and in concert, she also has been invited as a performer to countless corporate events, intimate charity functions, private gigs and command performances. Her favorite (and most heartfelt) performance to date was for the families of fallen firefighters at the National Fallen Firefighters Memorial in Washing DC MCI Arena on the one year anniversary of September 11, 2001. The event, which was televised internationally, introduced her to the world.

Recently, Shannon Forsell has been playing the Midwest backed by the “Cool City Band,” a ten piece swing band lead by conductor Ray Geesa. In addition to this, Forsell has released her first album of classic swing music called “Love Being Here With You.” Prior to this, Forsell released another album called “Simply Standards,” which featured jazz from the 1930s, 40s and 50s.

You can see Shannon Forsell perform weekly at the Sangiovese Ristorante in Indianapolis. She has been heard on television and radio for clients like Eli Lilly and Company, Toyota, Cummins Engine and Cannon IV. On top of all this, Shannon has been a guest numerous times on the Bob and Tom Show (heard in Indy on WFBQ). She even recorded several songs for them, which are featured on the Bob and Tom Greatest Hits CD.

Her passion for the cabaret style of performance is evident in the charm with which she sings live. Her love of cabaret even prompted her to produce a series of cabaret evenings at The Villa Restaurant in Indianapolis downtown, which featured a number of cabaret Indianapolis artists.
